Interactive Art Exhibition “Signal Garden” in Liepaja

The exhibition “Signal Garden” brings together 4 new media artists, who offer to the public the technological and interactive art created in this year.

As interactive and immersive technologies become an ever-increasing part of everyday life and the entertainment industry in particular, artists are the ones who experiment with the limits of existing technologies – using them the “wrong” way, they are discovering new ways how to materialize their artistic ideas. The exhibition “Signal Garden” invites the viewer to engage, play, educate and enjoy the newly created media artwork – to discover new ways of using VR technologies in art, to learn about a new form of life and to experience the world of acousmatic imagination.

Artists in the exhibition: Eva Ilze Jankovska, Arina Mozzherikova, Milda Ziemane un Matīss Lociks.

In the exhibition space visitors will have a chance to see a public garden created by new media art researcher and artist Maija Demitere, offering a variety of solutions for micro-farming – food production indoors and in small areas, using as little time and resources as possible. Only one day, Saturday, June 15, from 15.0018.00 artist Paula Vitola will offer a creative workshop “Sounds of Light” (workshop duration – about 10 minutes, no need to apply beforehand, participants can arrive at any time).

Exhibition open from June 11 to June 16 (every day from 14.00 to 19.00) in the former bogie factory at Tirgus Street 9, Liepaja. Opening of the exhibition: June 10 at 19.00.
